What we see here is the shifting of focus of the creation story.
Not the "day"(s) are important any more, not the diverse style of
the created living things. Not the "things" themselves, but the
power of God through the "Word" Logos understanding.
The OT materialism of "things" and "days" are the old stuff.
The Word, the Logos, the God is the new stuff of spiritualism.
Re-discover God for the present. That's the new beginning.
